What does one do on a sleepless Wednesday night a few hours before NaNoWriMo begins?
Why make book covers desktop pictures of course!
So! Which of the fonts I shamelessly found on dafont.com do ya'll like? And while you're ogling at the incredible job I did of putting a text box on a black background I'll go catch a few hours sleep before November sucks me in!
Personally, I like the second one best - it's ornamental, but not too hard to read, and it's got a sort of grittiness which I think suits your story premise rather well.
Call me a rebel of an otter, but me thinks the best is the third one...by a pretty big landslide. For one, it looks like a railroad. Secondly, it looks more square/courier/typewriter/ industrial, which in my mind looks more steampunk. And thirdly, it is more independent and original from the other two. Basically, I can see the other two fonts used in other novels of yours. The third one... not as much.
If you liked the post (or conversely, didn't) leave a comment! It helps me keep in touch with my readers, and gives you opportunities for constructive criticism and feedback! Thanks for reading!

ReplyDeleteSo, that's my ramble. :)
Yeah, what he said :) I agree with Breggo...
ReplyDeleteI like the middle one, it seems to best fit everything. Clever way to pass the hours before NaNo. I spent mine trying to stay awake.
ReplyDeleteHow are you doing so far?
I agree that the third one looks best for the book title and style. Hope writing is going well!
